We had the meeting with Maria Consuelo and she told us she choose the option of the porster for awarness but also she liked the other option, so she would comment it on the meeting for the book list. Yesterday 10/6/11 we did the posters and on Monday we would paste them on each class.
This posters would reduce waste of paper and plastic at school becuase the problem is like a tree, the roots is the lack of awarness, so the rest of the tree that is the lack of action and the leafs are the proble it self so, we would try to eliminate the problem from its roots, not only cutting the trunk, so in hte future it would grow again.

ACTION # 1 Cordial saludo: Debido al creciente desperdicio de papel y plástico producido en el colegio, nuestro grupo de la exhibición, Sofia Torres, Juliana Gutiérrez ,Sofia Botero y Pablo Flórez, proponemos la siguiente acción que esperamos siga muchos años adelante. Consideramos importante reducir en la lista de materiales que son pedidos al principio de cada año, el tamaño de papel pedido en blocs y paquetes, ya que por lo que hemos investigado, muchos de estos papeles se desperdician al final de año. Estamos al tanto de igualmente se necesitaran unos de estos papeles, por esa razón, les pedimos que los papeles que sean comprados tengan los logos oficiales de reciclado. Para reducir igualmente el gasto de plástico, sugerimos que en la lista de materiales incluyan un termo metalico para usar durante todo el año escolar y no tener que comprar botellas de plástico. En la sección de la lista en la que incluyen lapiceros, favor agregar a esa petición que sean lapiceros reusables y que se puedan rellenar otra vez de tinta. Por último, que no se pidan reglas nuevas cada año, sino que al contrario se puedan usar de nuevo cada año. Si no le parece bien esta solucion al creciente problema de desperdicio de papel y plastico, entonces proponemos que en cada clase de todo el colegio haya un afiche plastificado o enmarcado en madera el que tendra un diseño propuesto por nosotros mismos. El afiche aydara a que los estudiantes esten consientes y prevenidos del despercio que estan causando, y así mismo el cartel incluirpa soluciones para los estudiantes puedan llevarlas a cabo. El total de los afiches seria 20, ya que el total dede clases en primaria son esas. El tamaño del afiche seria entre un octavo y dos octavos.

our final action will be to do a petition to the PTA, Patrisia and Maria Consuelo for making the material list that is always given at the end of the year with the material that are needed for next year. We are going to make some changes like: to ask less amount of paper and blocks that are always ask for and that the blocks that are buy have the official sing that says that has been recycle. we are also going to ask for a thermous in the list for that children don't buy more bottles in the caffeteria and instead of buying bottles there will be some machines were they pay an amount of money and they can refill the thermous with the drink they want.

I had the idea that we can do a petion or something like that, that we can reduce the amount of paper ask on the list of materials. Also classes of how to recycle and things like that on the loduteca. Sofia T 18/5/11 There are many kinds of paper that can be use properly as the recicled paper (you can buy it) made of recycle papers, the ecologic paper using specific rules for avoidinf waste, paper from farms produce on a sustainable way, and paper free of chlorine that is easier to recycle. You can also use scrap paper that is paper you already use and use it to the other side. When you are writing something that is very important, first write it on pencil and then in pen for carrecting errors. Bring thtermos to school, do not buy plastic bottles. If you can write your school notes and homework on computer and then send them to your teacher by mail, do it. Use biodegradable bags. Reuse your rulers, pens and lunch boxes all the years if you can. The oficial sings are:

Recicled paper (you can even buy it): is made of the collections of use paper and carton for making new paper. When you buy this kind of paper you need to see a logo of a BLUE ANGEL for being sure it is real and 100% recicled.
Paper free of chlorine: it is easier to recycle and it prudicion doesn´t contaminates water and the earth.
Ecologic paper: the ecologic paper is made with some specific rules for avoiding the waste and the pollution. For seeing the paper is of cuality see the signature of the European Union. pine and eucalyptus Paper of farm: this paper is made in farmas that have a sustainable process. also this farms work with pine and eucalyptus, that are ttrees that have a rapid grown for not affecting the environment.

Also is very good because it helps to reduse the amount of paper production and then it will help to reduse the deforestation. reuse plastic bottles: if we buy a plastic bottle we can re uset by puting more water on it insted of throung them away. A very good way of beeing more friendly with the environment is with furoshiky, this is a way of pakaging things that doesn't pollutes because it doesn't have any type of plastic or paper. Istead of using plastic pakages use fabric bags becuase they have more than one good impoact, they last more time, they don't pollute, can have the disign you want ETC.
juliana gutierrez: 11/5/11 Errors: For a good soluting is to reuse it tee are the three R's which are reuse reduce and recycle for a little error dont throw it away, you know that I do at home when I have finish a project that I have from the past anf that is in paper of the computer I just have a little box were i put it thare and when I need to print little things I use that paer and I reuse and if I have a error with lined paper I put it in scrap paper. Thermus for not buying plastic bootles I just go with my thermus and if I a have one bottle of water I use it again.
Sofia Torres: 11/5/11 bring luchbox with only the things you are going to eat. If you are going to eat chips and stuff like that, instead of buying all the little plastic packets, only buy one big for the hole family and bring it to school in kinks that then you can wash an use them again the other day. Also make the teachers not print insuficient packets of hemeworkad tests. peopel try to take notes at computers or ipads- no so much paper. Use both sides of the paper.
pablo florez 12/5/11 biodegradable bags its another good solution of plastic bag kids dont like lunch bags but every day bringin a plastic bag its contaminate and they dont like to recycle so they can use biodegradable bags and they dont contaminate. the bag concist to bring things and when the years pas the bag desapeares and don't pollute
Sofia Torres 12-5-11 for recycling a paper you need to: 1. get in contact with the recycler company of your community 2. separate your paper into 3 piles: 1 of white office paper, other of newspaper and the other of color paper 3. put it on different bags or container wher is easy to see which paper is which, and the recycle company would pick it up for recycling.
Find a New Use for Plastic
Plastic Water Bottles 1. Cut off the bottom of a plastic water bottle in such a way to form a scoop. You can use this in the garden as a way to scoop up compost or potting soil. 2. Cut off the top third of plastic water bottles and you have great planting pots. Punch a hole or two in the bottom for drainage. These make great plant starting containers. 3. Use the top portion of a water bottle as a funnel. Just turn it upside down and take off the bottle cap.
in the ludot-k we can make as action a recolection of bottles and reuse them as pencil cases and if the children want they learn to do them.
as an other action we can make a program in all the school (classes, office etc) where every class has a srap paper bin and a bottle bag so that thoes things can be taken for beeing recycle.
